Dell announced Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook

Dell has added and announced a new member of its Inspiron Mini family: the Dell Inspiron Mini 10. And after seeing the Inspiron Mini 10 in the flesh this morning we are fairly certain it won’t just be another 10-inch netbook.
The Inspiron Mini 10 has the same style chassis as the Mini 9, including a glossy lid available in both black and white (at least for now). When we stacked them on top of each other, the Mini 10 was a noticeable 2 inches longer, but both appeared to be the same width. Surrounding the system are the standard 3 USB The newest Inspiron Mini will sport the newest Intel Atom platform with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor. Other than that, Dell hasn’t revealed the detailed specs, though we can safely assume it will have Windows XP and a solid 1GB of RAM. But shaking up the typical netbook specs are added configurable features including GPS, mobile broadband and TV tuner options. There will also be the 3-cell and 6-cell battery options.

The best news for you.The higher resolution screen will only set you back an extra $35.We’re still waiting for Dell to start offering some of the other options the company promised earlier this year including a built in GPS receiver and TV tuner.

The keyboard looks pretty good, and Laptop Mag reports that it’s actually slightly larger than the keyboard on the Inspiron Mini 12, which has a 12 inch display.
